The developer known as CelesteBlue has created a plugin called "ReNpDrm", which solves several issues for PS Vitas running firmware 3.60. PS Vitas that are deactivated can be reactivated with this tool, as well as play and download games.

Sony unexpectedly released firmware 3.67 for the PS Vita to patch the KRACK WiFi exploit and refresh certain aspects of the user interface. It's believed that the firmware also patches vulnerabilities that could be used to run CFW.
