These tweaks add some handy functionality to the iOS lock screen, making it so that you don't have to open the Clock.app for things like viewing the world clock or setting timers. Here's how they work. Overall the execution is pretty simple for both of these tweaks, but we'll start with SimpleTimer.
SimpleTimer: control timers and stopwatches from your lock screen.
To set a timer with SimpleTimer, once it's installed, simply do the following:
- Tap right on the clock to show the "Start Timer" page
- Simply choose the duration of the timer, by tapping right until it's set to what you want.
To pause the timer, you can just tap on the timer, to resume the timer tap it again. You can reset the timer by tapping and holding
Setting a stopwatch with SimpleTimer is also pretty easy:
- Instead of tapping right to start a timer, just tap on the left of the clock to view the "Start Stopwatch" page.
- Tap left once more to start the stopwatch.
To pause and reset the stopwatch, it's the same as it is for setting timers.
You can enable and disable the features of the tweak from your Settings.app. SimpleTimer is available on Cydia for $0.99.
SimpleWorldClock: View your world clocks from your lock screen.
SimpleWorldClock is even more minimal than SimpleTimer. Install the tweak from Cydia, then go to the lock screen, and tap to the left or right of the clock to cycle through your various world clocks that you have enabled in the Clock.app. Unlike its counterpart, SimpleWorldClock is available for free from Cydia.
