OnePlus has recently been getting a lot of heat because of missing deadlines created by themselves regarding major updates to OxygenOS. Although the company kept it's promise of updating the OnePlus 3 and 3T to Nougat before the end of 2016, it has broken other promises like the one to update the OnePlus 2 to Nougat.

OnePlus has however gotten their head back in the game as they have once again been meeting deadlines in a timely manner once again. They released the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the OnePlus 5, they even took it a step further and brought that same Oreo update to their flagships from last year, OnePlus 3 and 3T. According to a tweet from the Twitter account of OnePlus Germany, it seems the OnePlus 5T is next in line to get the Oreo update. OnePlus announced this week that they will be starting an Open Beta program for the Android Oreo update which will soon be released to all OnePlus 5T users.

The tweet from the OnePlus Germany account read, "Christmas is over, but we still have a present for you! 😉 How about the Open Beta for Android Oreo on the #OnePlus5T?" OnePlus has followed through with the update as the Open Beta update is available on the OnePlus download page.

If you are a OnePlus 5T user and want to be one of the first people to have the Android Oreo update on your phone, head over to the OnePlus download page to download and flash the update manually. If you are not comfortable with flashing a custom update, then it is probably safer for you to wait until the stable OTA update comes out later on.

Let us know in the comments if you plan on updating your OnePlus 5T? If you have already updated let us know how the update is?
