LG has finally enabled official bootloader unlocking on European LG V30 models, including the H930 and the H930G.

The LG V30 has not seen an official bootloader unlocking method up until now. The European versions of the V30, which are H930 and H930G, now support official OEM Bootloader unlocking via fastboot, which is great news for everyone who enjoys modding, rooting and hacking their devices.

The H930 V30 is commonly found in different European countries, like the UK, while the H930G V30 is listed as an Italy-only device. Chances are that if you live in Europe and own an LG V30, you can unlock your bootloader, and if you live in the US, you can not.

A workaround to this would be to purchase the LG V30 from a European source, unlocked, like Amazon UK.

LG is not really known for being open with their devices and allowing to modify them, so this is certainly a step in the right direction. Who knows, we might see an official unlocking method for the US variant of the V30 in the near future, but for now, it's only mere speculation.

We will make sure to update you in case LG decides to continue the trend with Asian and/or US variants of the V30, which is unlikely due to the carrier fragmentation LG has been dealing with for the past few years.

What do you think? Do you own a European V30 and will you unlock it? Let us know in the comments below!
