Update: iOS 11.1.2 is no longer signed. If you missed the signing window, you're out of luck.

Ian Beer, the famous security researcher from Google's Project Zero, has once again come out publicly claiming to release exploits which could bring us a jailbreak for a major version of iOS. He is most known for his indirect work with the Yalu jailbreak where his exploit was used to jailbreak iOS 10 versions, with his code being used in many jailbreaks up until this day.

Beer has stated that he will be releasing multiple exploits over time so this is not the last we see of him. The exploits which he is getting ready to release are aimed at iOS 11.1.2 and the reason they haven't been made public yet is that Beer is waiting for Apple to patch them and to prepare them for the public.

Project Zero's goal is not to give a niche user base a way to change the icons on their phones but to mobilise other companies to patch their software and ensure it's secure, but a side effect of that procedure often results in a way to breach older firmware security.

This is why it's so important to downgrade to iOS 11.1.2 right this very moment while the signing window still hasn't closed. If you're not familiar with the signing window, Apple allows you to downgrade iOS versions for a very short amount of time after they've released an update, meaning that you can only downgrade to the soon-to-be-jailbreakable iOS 11.1.2 for a very short amount of time.

For every second that goes, we are getting closer to the closure of that window, and with the exploits in the air, Apple will not sit around and wait for a jailbreak to drop, so downgrade your devices right now.

Our friends at iDownloadBlog put together a handy guide which you can follow in order to downgrade your device. But do not wait, as even minutes matter. Do it now.
